@Dolcetto
Seeing that archway and the thick wooden door was almost a relief. But not enough, she thought, as the girl took a deep breath and winced as pain shot through her. It was too much, she wasn’t even sure how she’d managed to walk all the way here. Her thoughts were plaguing her; Why did she choose to come to the Devils Nest of all places? Because it was the first place to come to mind.
It wasn’t like Eden was in a very good state of mind to make clear decisions. She was covered in cuts and bruises, blonde hair torn from the ponytail it had been in and now some sort of bloodstained mess hanging down her back. Her shirt was torn in odd places and her breathing was ragged. She was bleeding from places she didn’t even know she had been hit.
She leaned against the door and slid down to the floor, groaning silently. It was late, how late she wasn’t sure. She didn’t even have the chance to knock before she collapsed. Eden was still conscious, but at this point, she wasn’t sure if she really wanted to be. Maybe coming here hadn’t been a good idea after all.
Dolcetto had been up in his room, almost ready to fall asleep. His thoughts had been on Eden all day long and he found himself worrying about her. He hadn’t heard from her in a week or so and she had the tendency to get into trouble. Or trouble have the tendency to find her. Either way, he’s worried about her.
“Should I go see her?” He speaks aloud. He knows where her apartment is but he doesn’t want to come off as overprotective. He of all people knows how much she hates that. He shakes his head and springs up from his bed. He grabs his jacket and heads down stairs.
The smell of blood hits his nose and his instincts immediately kick in. He walks over to the bar slowly and reaches behind it, pulling his katana out from hiding. He unsheathes it and quietly walks to the door. He pulls it open and jumps out, expecting an attacker. Instead he finds Eden on the ground, covered in blood and bruises.
“Eden?” He drops his katana and kneels next to her, “What happened to you?” He doesn’t give her time to answer before picking her up gently. He pushes some things off the table and they clank loudly on the ground. He sets her down on the table and rushes off to attempt to find something to clean her up.
I'm Dolcetto.
